Yoong Kee Teochew Style Steam Fish
Call it second time lucky, we managed to find Yoong Kee Eating Shop (close proximity to Bukit Mertajam Old Town market) open for business on our second visit after our failed attempt last year. Their TeoChew Steam Fish is simply outstanding and the best interpretation of it I have ever tasted so far. The grouper fish is fresh, steamed just right for a firm juicy texture and the sweet flavor of the fish perfectly complementing the tangy sauce. Divine.
