Hi and welcome,

Ken and Agnes Photoworks is an evolving photo blog of photographs taken here, there and everywhere of moments, nature, people, places, etc., anything which catches my fancy or as I see it as time goes by. I stumbled upon photography back in my secondary school days where a chance opportunity to join a photography field trip turned into an interesting discovery and hobby. Not long after, I was photographing annual class photo shoots and school events. It was fun as a school cameraman, being accorded privileges and invites to events I never had before, not to mention the attention ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Photography faded into the distance in the intervening years from school to working life as other interest and priorities took precedence i.e. tertiary studies, work and meeting Agnes :). What rekindled it was Agnesโ€™ eagerness to document special moments of our first child. Thatโ€™s why I name this blog ‘Ken and Agnes Photoworks’, as a tribute to Agnes :). Since then, I have been photographing both our kids’ development, events and family activities. Going through them photos every now and again remind us of the journey traveled, the moments and the ongoing journey that lies ahead, an ongoing and uncharted journey of adventures and challenges.

A generalist and master of none, I photograph almost everything and anything, no boundaries, life and the world is visually too beautiful and interesting to ignore aspects of it. What I do try to achieve in my photography is utilising ambient light as much as possible, keep things simple, stay true to the actual scene and capture the essence of the moment. Quite a bit of the photography is done in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia; so, I hope the content will also give you a flavour of beautiful Malaysia. Juggling between work and caring for a couple of young active kids does limit my photography and ‘blog time’ somewhat though I am quite certain my rekindled passion for photography is here to stay for good this time, and I look forward to sharing my photography with you here. Agnes has an interest in photography too but her true passion is cooking and baking, her favourite subject matter being her delicious cooking and baking efforts. She is the creative and artistic half always brimming with new ideas and occasionally contributes to this blog.

Home is a family of four and a West Highland terrier. We enjoy traveling, nature, sports, music and food, especially sampling indigenous food where we are traveling.

Thank you for visiting, feel free to have a look round, explore, drop me a line on what you like or what you don’t like, etc. etc.ย  it will be a pleasure to hear from you, write to kenandagnesphotoworks@gmail.com.

Hope you enjoy, all the best.
