Exploring downtown Shinjuku area on a late July hot summery evening, the distant sounds of a band performance intermixed with audience applause aroused my curiosity which led me to Shinjuku Station’s south gate main entrance to find a number of bands busking away in earnest at the sidewalk. The setting is just perfect and I suppose it’s probably a popular spot for aspiring artists/bands to busk in Shinjuku.
The more polished, and entertaining bands obviously gained the attention and interest of passersby to stop and watch their performances. It was delightful to watch, unleashing the raw passion and energy they have for their brand of music into their performances, playing their hearts out, promoting their albums, hoping to make the difference and make it big some day among many others out there with similar aspirations.
The photos are of one of the bands performing that evening, BRING, who may well be on to bigger things by now as these were taken back in 2014 … they certainly put up a rocking performance that evening, much to the appreciation of the audience.
