Work brings me to Singapore every now and again, but they are mostly day trips as I can get my work done within the day and take an evening flight home from the many flights available from AirAsia. All very convenient, and getting to spend the evening at home rather than in a hotel, but also no opportunity for night photography. Recently, we had a family trip to Singapore for a number of days to attend an event and a short holiday, I therefore had the opportunity to spend a bit of time at the Marina Bay area for some night photography. The Marina Bay is a very well planned development on reclaimed land consisting of commercial, residential, hotel and entertainment projects. It is an interesting place to visit and photograph in the evening/night for its spectacular skylines and iconic architectures representing the modern day and ever changing Singapore. Here are some photos I took in my walks around the Marina Bay area over 2 nights. There was some spectacular cloud cover on the first night, which added drama and a surreal feel to the photo above.
