These zinc sheets are used to cover up and shield the underlying woodwork from the daily harsh tropical weather elements of either sunshine or rain, thus prolonging its life. However, the zinc treated coating wears off over time , exposing the underneath bare metal layer and rust starts to live, and they never sleep after that, until the last bit of metal is eaten away. A bane to metal iron, but does make a nice subject matter to photograph.
Have a good weekend, everyone.
