The day is done, and the darkness
Falls from wings of Night,
As a feather is wafted downward
From an eagle in his flight …
The Day Is Done
by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
It was a clear day, and the evening sky was a canvas of magnificent and gleaming copper blue shades as the sun gradually set and night beckoned. I was lucky to find a spot to stop and take a few photos before it got dark. I especially like this one, with a solitary pair of birds flying pass in the distant.
